Our major collaborators include: Nagasaki University, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Hewlett Packard, Karolinska Institute, Osaka City University, Chiba University, Muhimbili University, Addis Abba University, NASCOP, US Medical Research Unit (USAMRU) and Alupe Sub-district Hospital. Nagasaki University. CIPDCR collaborates with Nagasaki University€™s Institute of Tropical Medicine. The shared research interests include: Arbovirology, biotechnology and disease surveillance. (hyperlink) Clinton Health Access Initiative The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is one of the most important sponsors of activities in CIPDCR. Clinton Foundation€™s health initiative has helped set up a state of the art Early Infant Diagnosis of HIV laboratory. Together with the Hewlett Packard, the CHAI is supporting the design and construction of new data centers in KEMRI headquarters Nairobi, Centre for Global Health Research (CGHR) in Kisumu and another in CIPDCR. KEMRI Internal Research Grants (IRG) For cholera research KEMRI has given CIPDCR Kshs. 1,000,000 in the financial year 2010-2011 Other funders Other funders include European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership with Karolinska Institute (EDCTP -KI) as the key partner.
