| KEMRI recruits three new officers |

Mr. Isabwa holds BSc (Business Administration) degree from United States International University (USIU) and brings to KEMRI over 20 years experience in the supplies and procurement field. Mr. Kamau on the other hand is a graduate of University of Nairobi where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in the same field. Mr. Kamau is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and brings with him an eight years experience in financial donor and Project management from both the public and Private sectors. Finally, the new Senior Principal Internal Auditor has over a decade experience in audit and financial accounting. Mr. Ochung’ holds an MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degrees from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). An extensive induction programme was been held for the three senior officers. The well-thought-out programme included a conducted tour to some of the research facilities within KEMRI Centers in Nairobi, Busia, Kisumu and Kilifi. They also visited KEMRI satellite stations in Malindi and Kwale. While welcoming the team, the Acting Director KEMRI, Dr. Solomon Mpoke challenged the new officers to ensure that they quickly settle down and work towards helping the institute achieve its goals and realize the Institute’s mission “to improve on the quality of health and human life through research”. |
