Health and Interior & Coordination of National Government Cabinet Secretaries Day at KEMRI


This is my point: Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, Cabinet Secretary Hon. Joseph Nkaissery (right) stresses a point as his Ministry of Health colleague, Dr. Cleopa Mailu (centre) and Acting Director KEMRI, Dr. Gerald Mkoji listen. This was during a visit in KEMRI on 15th April 2016 to assess the security situation at the Institute.

This is my point: Cabinet Secretary of Health Dr. Cleopa Mailu addressing the press as his Interior and Coordination of National Government colleague, Hon. Joseph Nkaissery (center) and Acting Director KEMRI, Dr. Gerald Mkoji (immediate left) and other senior officials from the two ministries and Institute staff listen. This was during a visit in KEMRI on 15th April 2016 to assess the security situation at the Institute.


The Institute is hosting the first ever East African Health Research Commission (EAHRC) commissioners meeting which started on Monday from 21st March 2016 and ends on 22nd March, 2016.

The Commissioner’s meeting is being followed by a one-day, National Focal Point and stakeholder’s conference on Wednesday, 23rd, March 2016 at the KEMRI Headquarters. The two EAHRC gathering have brought together close to 50 delegates.
