  1. Tuberculosis: epidemiology; case finding and holding; immunisation; pharmacotherapy of TB - pharmacoepidemiology of drug resistance; TB in HIV infections.

  2. Non-TB respiratory diseases - high priority pathologies e.g. bronchial asthma; industrial respiratory implications; acute respiratory infections.

  3. Lung function.

  4. Immunology of TB and allergic conditions

  5. Environmental and occupational health
