Internet/E-mail services

Internet and E-mail services are continuously available to the users. To access these services readers are required to login using a Username and password that can be obtained from the library staff e.g. in using HINARI

Internet access provides the users with the benefit of utilizing the thousands of free medical and health journals.

Electronic Databases

The HINARI Programme, set up by WHO together with major publishers, enables developing countries to gain access to one of the world's largest collections of biomedical and health literature. More than 7,500 information resources are now available to health institutions in 105 countries, areas and territories benefiting many thousands of health workers and researchers, and in turn, contributing to improved world health. Through the HINARI Interface users are also able to access the PUBMED (MEDLINE) database that holds more than 20million citations.www.who.int/hinari

  • PERI (Program for the Enhancement of Research Information)  

Through the Program for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERI) the Library subscribes to electronic databases that cover various disciplines in Biomedical Sciences, Public health ICT, Business Administration Accounting, Engineering among others.
