2, The Library Catalogue

• The public card catalogue is accessible to all users and provides them with the necessary bibliographical details and guidelines to the collection.
• In due course an Online Public Access Catalogue will be available.

Current Awareness Service (CAS)

• Through e-mail alerts whenever a new resource is acquired or identified on the Internet.
• Displaying newly acquired books and journals.

 Training Services

• Practical attachment and training for students from other institutions
• Staff departmental training on E-resources

Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)

• Thesis and Dissertation database
• KEMRI staff Publications Database

Lending services

Circulation of information materials to users

• Scientific, non-scientific staff and postgraduate students from the ITROMID Program can borrow 4 books for one month, subject to renewal, depending on demand.
• Restrictions: Books on high demand are lent out for shorter periods

Inter Library Lending Services

The Library collaborates with both local and International health Libraries in matters relating to health information resources and services therefore documents requested but not available in the library can be obtained on inter- library loan from these institutions.
