At the CIPDCR we conduct research in HIV/AIDS & STD€™s, tuberculosis, leprosy, biotechnology, emerging & remerging diseases, malaria, geo-helminthes, fungal infections and public health. We are soon starting clinical trials. The centre runs a medical clinic, a pharmacy and diagnostic & research laboratories. In the near future the centre plans to provide ultra sonography services for which it has already acquired an ultra sound machine. The centre collaborates with major research & training institutions. Major Achievements €¢ The prevalence of Leprosy has gone down to near complete elimination stage at 0.2-0.5/1000. Our infrastructure Our human resource capacity Alupe harbors 15 research scientists, 11 laboratory technologists, 2 clinical officers, 2 nursing officers and 43 members of support staff. |
